Interested in some cold sore home remedies? Those sores always pop up at the worst of times and they're not all that easy to hide. Not only are they unsightly, but they also hurt!
If you really want your sores gone and gone fast, these remedies are pretty much your best option, but they aren't for the feint of heart:
1. Bleach
One of the most potent cold sore home remedies involves the use of bleach. Bleach is a very powerful solution which if not used correctly might leave a mark, so be careful when using this tip.
What you have to do is wet the tip of a cotton swab with some water then place that into a bottle of bleach, this process should dilute things well enough. Then what you need to do is squeeze out the excess fluid from the swab and place the swab on the sore.
This will sting, but if you leave the swab on the sore for around 3 minutes, it will work to stop it's development and help kill it off.
2. Peroxide Mix + Nail Polish Remover
This one is going to be even tougher than the last one, be warned, it might be too much for your particular sore. If you want to do it though, you need to sterilize a needle first and pierce the sore, draining it of it's fluid. Once this is done, you then have to place nail polish remover over the sore and hold in in place via a Q-Tip for 30 minutes.
Next, make a mixture of peroxide, some salt and crushed up Asprin, stir that up and apply that to the cold sore soon after. Leave that on to dry and go to bed. When you wake up it should have done its work and significantly shrunk your cold sore.
These cold sore home remedies are rough, there's no doubt about it and if you're not careful you might wind up with a little scar, be careful.
If you want a safer alternative that is not going to cause trauma, there are other options, you don't have to go with these types of remedies. - 20765
