Temporary Banners For Quick Signs

By John Thompson

Recently, banner signs have become more versatile than five or six years ago. They are now used in a variety of places, where we used to see more permanent signs. Instead of wooden or plexiglass signs, we now often see vinyl banner signs that serve the purpose well.

Nowadays, vinyl is the most common material used to make outdoor banners. It is smooth, good looking and durable. A vinyl banner can stand sun and rain for a number of years, so vinyl is often used in places where a quick, low cost alternative is needed.

Occasionally, vinyl signs will be a temporary substitute, before a more permanent sign is erected in its place. At other times, where the site is just temporary (eg. construction sites, special events), a vinyl banner will be all that you'll see.

The great advantages of vinyl banners are that it is durable, flexible and lightweight. It can be rolled up or folded away, which also makes it easy to transport. They are also relatively inexpensive compared to other materials.

This is made vinyl banners so versatile, that they can be printed in full digital color. Printing on a vinyl banner used to be such a laborious task, but this has all changed with the digital revolution. Digital printing machines are now printing directly on the banners at a very fast rate and these banners can be used indoors or outdoors.

The process of designing and printing is pretty simple -- as long as you know digital printing basics. Banner designs include photographs, artwork, fancy backgrounds and company logos. In other words, any graphic image captured in a computer file can be printed on a vinyl banner. - 20765
